Kerrigan Quarries
Seamus Kerrigan invested in his first excavator in 1971 and in the early years worked on land reclamation, forestry plantation and road making. Seamus Kerrigan established Kerrigan Quarries and Plant hire in Killargue, near Dromahair in Co. Leitrim in 1989. In the following years Kerrigan Quarries developed a fine reputation for producing quarried rock and all grades of crushed stone.In recent years Seamus’s son Shane has taken over the day-to-day management of the company.
In March 2005 Kerrigan Quarries began Ready mix production at its Killargue Quarry. Since 2005 Kerrigan Quarries have become firmly established as one of the main concrete Ready mix producers in the North West Region.
In March 2006 Kerrigan Quarries commenced production of a full range of concrete blocks.
In 2007 Kerrigan Quarries employed a full time Quality Technician and invested in a fully equipped on-site testing laboratory. As a result of this investment Kerrigan Quarries Ready mix products were certified to comply IS EN 206-1 in late 2007.
In-order to meet the increasing demand for Kerrigan Quarries ready-mix products and concrete blocks a second concrete plant was commissioned in October 2008.
During 2009 Kerrigan Quarries continued its development with the establishment of new ready mix products Trowel Ready Mortar and Self Levelling Floor Screed.
Kerrigan Quarries now provide bagged aggregates, sands and a wide range of decorative stones to hardware outlets throughout the island of Ireland.
